Welcome to Azerbaijan History Net. AHN was created as a resource for the academic and scholarly community. It is a resource for historical documents related to the history of Azerbaijan. The site contains information on primary sources, secondary sources, maps, links to other web resources, and more.

This site was not designed to provide historical analysis, but rather to be a clearinghouse of documents and works for the community. If you find any references, facts, or dates that you beleive are innacurate, please contact AHN with your correction (including a reference).

Organization of Material

The source material is organized first into General Works, Material by Period, and then Reference Material. Within the "by Period" section the material is organized chronologically according to the timeline below. Whenever possible we have used the date that a political power came to dominate Azerbaijan, however, when such a specific date was unavailable we have used the date the dynasty came to power or prominance.
